Idea of modern spa

The idea of a modern spa – to offer the clientele integrated riddance, renewed vitality, the experience of their dreams, and a wider world view.

The satisfaction of the clients starts with the personnel.
Correct and dignified attire, modest makeup, tied-up or short hair, a serviceperson always fragrant is the key person.

The service personnel should be always wearing a smile, proceed from the needs of the client; it is of vital importance that they speak in a low voice, since in this world full of stress, peace is what the client needs. When coming in, the client should enter the realm of peace, an equilibrium and silence.

Try to keep the client away from “thinking”, i.e. try to find out about their wishes as much as possible before every visit of the client, so that the client needn’t be busy with thinking on his or her visiting day any more.
Ask the client to switch off their mobile phone, so that phone calls do not interfere with the treatment. All of this constitutes a premise for the client’s brain to be able to rest.

Turn beauty treatments into an experience they never forget. To achieve this, there are seven easy recommendations:

1. The beauty worker is the soul of a massage

In order to achieve a superb result, the beauty worker will have to be open-minded, his or her massage technique will have to be impeccable, he or she must know the philosophy of the human soul, and the client should always leave him or her in a better mood than they had when arriving.

Also, the worker’s attitudes and positions towards life have to be positive. A masterful beauty worker concentrates on the aim, which is rendering the client satisfied and happy.

2. Listening
The art of listening and also the art of hearing are vital criteria in case of the beauty worker. If the worker commands these arts, the client will leave satisfied and regards this session to be the best session that ever occurred to them. You must certainly let the client speak up his or her wishes and assumptions before the massage.

Also, find out their allergies and if there is something that definitely bothers them.

3. Acceptance of the client

You should never forget, especially if the client is new, that people have different notions as to exposing their body. Just the elderly may have problems with exposing their body. Yet it does not have to be related to their age; you should also consider their belief, customs and the traditions of different nations.

4. Equipment
To all machinery and equipment used during the session, one rule is applied – they should be as convenient for the client as possible and should not arouse fear in them.

The colours used are also of vital importance. If your spa is medical, the natural colour choice would be white. If you are trying to create an atmosphere that is calm and relaxing, with the purposes of free the senses and restore the mental equilibrium, then you should forget about the so-called clean and sterile white walls. Light salmon-pink, terracotta, lavender … these are the hues that should offer a possibility to render the visit to the salon more comfortable.

The sheets that cover the massage table should be very soft and fragrant.

5. Affect the five senses of the client
During a session, the client is gradually relieved from tensions. He or she feels as if on cloud nine … Keep the light in the room dim, in order not to irritate the client; at the same, it should not be too dark.

Choose relaxing music that suits the client. Should the client have his or her own music, let them listen to it … Even if the music of the client’s choice is not exactly the serviceperson’s favourite, they should not make a fuss about it, since the party who is supposed to get the maximum out of the treatment is definitely the client.

The same applies to smells. Before using various incense sticks, candles and essences, you must certainly ask the client, which would be the most suitable for them. Smell affects directly the most primitive parts of the brain that evoke natural instincts, such as hunger, disgust, anger. Smell may bring from storage memories that may be both positive and negative.

6. Free the client’s imagination
Tell the client prior to the session about what you are going to do with them, so that they are ready. Encourage his/her dreams!

7. Add something from yourself
Make a massage something special. Add to it something from your person, something the others will not do. Find out what your colleagues do not practice, and surprise the client.

For instance:
• Brush the body with a soft brush before the massage
• Put cool, damp pads on the eyes
• Paraffin wax wrap on the arms and legs
• Hot stones
• Put an infrared lamp under the massage table, so that the client is cosy and warm
• Foot washing ritual before the massage
As clients have very tight working schedules, they expect a maximum result in a minimum time. They want a positive experience and are willing to pay for it.
